Real Life 人生の醍醐味

This life is a gift from God. That is why our lives are so precious.

人生とは、神様からの贈り物。であるからこそ、命と云うものは何物にも代えがたい。

We are under HUGE grace. It takes our heart to be fully thankful for what we have. Many times we are ‘used to’ the grace of the Lord. 

私達は計り知れない恵みの中に生きている。当たり前なことに感謝するのは、今の時代簡単なことでは無いだろう。多くの場合、神様の恵みに慣れてしまっているのだろう、と私はふと感じることがある。

Money seems a very powerful tool in this world. However, there are what it cannot buy.

It cannot buy our families.

It cannot buy the air we breathe.

Most importantly, it cannot buy our lives.

確かに、お金はとても便利なツールである。しかしながら、全てがお金で買えるとは限らない。

家族はお金では買えないし、何気なく吸っている空気にお金を払うことは無いだろう。そして、私達一人一人の命はお金では絶対に買うことは出来ない。

These provisions are not even what we have asked for.

こうして、私達は、求めてもいないものを無償で与えられている。

In short, what we have- those in which we may take for granted, money can not buy them. We can never afford to buy such things because they are gifts from God.

日常という名の波に飲まれているこれらのことにお金は通用しない。なぜならそれらが神様からの贈り物であって、私達の力では決して手に入れることの出来ないものであるからだ。

We are called to be thankful people.

私達人間の本分は、常に感謝することでは無いだろうか。

Not everybody on earth has a family at this very moment, but you have a family. One reason to be grateful.

While somebody on earth has a hard time breathing, you are freely breathing the fresh air you did not ask for. One reason to thank God. 

We are still alive while so many souls are lost every minute. This grace is not a joke at all.

地球上の誰もが家族と共にいるとは限らない中で、もしこれを読んでいるあなたに愛する家族がいるのだとすれば、それはあなたが感謝する第一の理由かも知れない。

呼吸をするのが困難な人がいる一方で、あなたは求めたことも無いであろう新鮮な空気を存分に吸っている。神様に感謝する理由では無いだろうか？

Let us be grateful for what we have.

What my high school teachers taught me makes a lot of sense now.

全てのことに感謝せよ。

高校で学んだことが、やっと分かってきた気がした。

‘Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.’

(Psalms 118:29)

‘主に感謝せよ、主は恵みふかく、 そのいつくしみはとこしえに 絶えることがない。‘

(詩篇 118:29)
