A new Generation -return of the expected-

“Welcome back”. This also means “Let’s do this”―――

「おかえり」という言葉は「いっちょやったりますか❗」という意味も持っている。

It is such a joy for us to see somebody coming back home after a long period of time. That bears hope and expectation toward future.

誰かの帰還を迎えるのはこの上ない喜びではないだろうか。それは私達の心の中に未来への希望と期待を生むからである。

My high school friends, who is junior to me by two years came back to Japan from a period of studies in New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. For their return from study abroad, I went to welcome them to Narita International Airport.

私の高校時代の後輩がニュージーランド、シンガポール、マレーシア、フィリピンを巡る1年留学から遂に帰ってきた。後輩をこれまで寵愛してきた先輩の私は、成田空港まで「お迎え」に行ってきた。

All of whom I saw seemed to have eyes burning in passion toward something. As I glanced at them I was very energized and empowered. Literally, all of them looked so good with their confidence.

帰ってきた「勇者」たちの目は情熱に燃えているように見えた。遠くから眺めた時に、私は非常にバイブスがあがり、元気づけられた。誰もが自身に満ち溢れた姿で日本の地を踏んでいた。

By the way, what kind of person bears a fruit of success ? That is, in my opinion, those who is obedient to instruction and humble. As far as I have learned to myself, people who becomes later successful serves who is already prestigious.

ところで、成功する人の特徴は何だろうか。私が思うに、誰かの教えに従順であり、謙虚な姿勢を崩さない人が実を結ぶのだろう。これまでの人生の学びを振り返ると、後に成功する人間は成功者の従者である。

That is the key to succeed; those students that came back from abroad truly have this talent. When I was still in high school, I trained them as a father trains his child. I am looking forward to seeing them smile in triumph. 

これこそが成功への鍵だろう。現に、今回日本に帰ってきた私の後輩たちはその資質がある。高校にいた頃、私は彼ら／彼女らをあたかも父親がその子を戒める様に鍛えてきた。そんな後輩たちが、勝利の笑みをこぼす姿を見る日が楽しみでならない。

“Welcome back”. It’s such a nice phrase- the message is to tell somebody “Let’s do something different this time”.

「おかえり」。素晴らしい言葉であると思う。この言葉には、「新しいことやってやろうぜ❗」という力強いメッセージも込められているのだから。
